About this book

Regional development is attracting the attention of policy makers and scientists again, as regions, urban centers and rural areas, experience substantial pressures, particularly in Europe, as a consequence of globalization and geopolitical changes which lead to changes in spatial structures and dynamics. Papers in Regional Science - 119% increase on last year´s Impact Factor

the 2008 Impact Factors have been released and ERSA is delighted to report that Papers in Regional Science has a 2008 Impact Factor of 1.259, which ranks it 23rd of 51 journals in the Geography category and 18th of 58 in Environmental Studies. This is a 119% increase on last year´s Impact Factor, 0.576. Congratulations to editor Jouke van Dijk and his editorial team.

The paper should include a summary (an abstract) of not more than half a page (250 words). 2. The paper should be delivered electronically, through the Speaker Zone. Technical Excursions During the second day of the ERSA Congress (Wednesday, 26th August 2009) the Technical Excursions are planned. The programme of a technical excursion will allow the participants to observe spatial changes occurring in the city of Lodz. During 3-4 hours you will see historical parts of Lodz as well as newly revitalised areas. The Excursions are planned to accommodate 300 participants. The University of Lodz Training and Conference Centre. The University of Lodz Training and Conference Centre at 16/18 Kopcinski Street is located within a walking distance from the Faculty of Management where ERSA Congress will take place(100m).
