Spatial inequalities and economic development in the Mediterranean regions

The University of Toulon, France, organized the fifth edition of the Euro-Mediterranean Ph.D. student seminar, the “Doctoriades” on the 17th and the 18th of October 2013. The aim of the Doctoriades was to promote Ph.D. students in order to present their work to a larger audience and have the opportunity to exchange with Senior Researchers.

The seminar particularly addressed young scholars that work on the Mediterranean regions’ development issues. The regional dimension of the economic and social changes in the Mediterranean Basin, on the one hand, and the appearance of new forms of disparities on a regional or urban level, on the other, leads to some original analysis on Regional Economics and Geographical Sciences.
