23rd National Congress on Regional Science and Regional Planning
30 May – 1 June 2024, Eskişehir, Türkiye
The 23rd National Congress on Regional Science and Regional Planning, organized by the Turkish National Committee of Regional Science and Anadolu University will take place from 30 May 2024 to 1 June 2024. It is with great pleasure that we announce that two valuable invited speakers will be with us at our congress. Prof. Roberta Capello, president of the European Regional Science Association, and Prof. Dr. İlhan Tekeli, honorary president of Foundation for Urbanism Culture, will share their knowledge and experience with us at our congress.
The 23rd National Regional Science and Regional Planning Congress finds itself in the middle of these new realities. Epidemics, natural disasters and environmental problems raise new problems regarding the sustainability of regions and cities. Likewise, increasing conflicts and wars around the world are having a major impact on regional planning and the future of peace.
The main purpose of the congress is to bring together scientists from different fields, especially Economics, Geography, City and Regional Planning, working in the field of regional science in Turkey, and researchers working in the field of application, such as regional development, urbanization, planning, migration, entrepreneurship, green and blue economy. To present studies carried out at local and regional levels, including but not limited to topics, and to create a suitable environment for sharing knowledge. Another aim of the congress is to encourage the participation of young researchers working in the field of regional science in this sharing environment.
Researchers who want to participate in the congress to send their abstracts by e-mail to bbtmk2024@anadolu.edu.tr by 16 February, 2024 . For the abstract , the abstract template on the congress website must be used. Since it is not planned to hold parallel sessions in a language other than Turkish in our congress, abstracts must be written in Turkish.
