Last March, for the first time in Spain, a study was published on the cost of living in the Autonomous Communities, cities and metropolitan areas, with the calculation of the effect that this different cost of life, has on the number of households that are at risk of poverty in each territory. These new, more realistic, hitherto unknown figures have relevant implications for the design of public policies that seek to alleviate situations of vulnerability and poverty that undoubtedly have a very unequal distribution in the territory.

The session aims to present the data of the study at the level of Autonomous Communities, urban areas and cities of the state, and how this different cost of living can affect the risk of poverty in each territory and how these new indicators can become key when designing new funding models.
