We are glad to announce that Vassilis Tselios, associate professor at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens, Greece, is the new managing editor of ERSA flagship journal, REGION. Vassilis Tselios succeeds Sierdjan Koster on this position, who remains member of the Editorial Team. Vassilis Tselios is an Associate Professor of Regional Analysis and Policy at the Department of Economic and Regional Development of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens, Greece. He holds a Diploma and an MSc at the Department of Regional Planning and Development of the University of Thessaly and a PhD at the London School of Economics (LSE). He was an Assistant and Associate Professor of Regional Economics at the University of Thessaly (Volos, Greece), a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, a Lecturer in Economic Geography at the University of Southampton and at Newcastle University, a Researcher at the LSE and at the University of Groningen, and a Consultant at the World Bank. His research concerns regional development and growth, public and regional policy, economic geography, political decentralisation, socioeconomic inequalities, social welfare, and disasters. He has produced a series of academic papers in top scientific journals.

Sébastien Bourdin is Associate dean for faculty and Professor at the EM Normandy Business School. He is an economic geographer and his research focuses on (i) the Cohesion policy & the economic integration in the European Union, and (ii) the circular economy & energy transition. He is currently a member of the ASRDLF (French speaking section of ERSA) and Secretary General of the Revue d’Economie Régionale et Urbaine.



Sofia Wixe is an Assistant Professor at Jönköping International Business School and Co-Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Spatial Economics (CEnSE). She holds a PhD in economics and her research falls within regional economics, focusing on how location, human capital, and diversity relate to economic outcomes at both individual, firm, and regional level.

Anastasia Panori is Post-Doc Researcher at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and member of URENIO Research Group. She is a computer engineer with a PhD in regional science and her research focuses on (i) regional development and inequalities, (ii) computational methods and (iii) Smart Specialisation Strategies. She is currently a member of the Greek section of ERSA.
