17th European Week of Regions and Cities
7-10 October 2019, Brussels, Belgium
The #EURegionsWeek is the biggest event world-wide on regional and urban development. The university programme including the Master Class and University Workhops are organised and led by the European Commission, DG for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO), the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the Regional Studies Association European Foundation (RSA Europe) in cooperation with the European Regional Science Association (ERSA) and the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP).
The three themes for the 2019 edition are:
- The Future of the EU and the roles of Regions and Cities,
- A Europe Closer to Citizens and,
- A greener Europe
7th Master Class
The Master Class targets PhD students and early career researchers in the field of regional and urban policy. Its purpose is to improve the understanding of EU Cohesion Policy and its research potential among a selection of European PhD students and early-career researchers. This unique format programme is limited to 30 participants. A selection panel composed of the above organisations will be responsible for reviewing the applications and selecting participants

The University Workshops
The workshops focus on new research on regional and urban development, with renowned academics and researchers in the field of EU cohesion policy and related policies from different European countries.
