Development and improvement before and after 2020

The Hungarian Regional Science Association (MRTT) is happy to annouce the oransization of its spring conference in 2021 as a continuation ofthe Regional Developers’ Day (Balatonkenese  2009 , Budapest  2013 ), the main objective of which is to evaluate the last period of Hungarian territorial policy and territorial development (2014–2020). to discuss current issues (eg 2021–2027 EU programming period), to provide proposals for the future shaping of the system of objectives, instruments and institutions of territorial policy. The consultation provides an opportunity for participants to express their views in an informal manner.

Objectives
The aim of the event is to present the peculiarities and problems of territorial development, through this topic to build a relationship with the shapers and practical practitioners of territorial policy in order to accommodate scientific results. In terms of scale, the different subnational territorial levels (district, county, region), functional spaces (municipality, city, countryside, agglomeration, industrial area, etc.) and the broader national (national, Carpathian Basin, neighborhood) level are also on the agenda. , as well as the territorial implications of major sectoral policies. This year’s conference also aims to address the spatial effects of the coronavirus epidemic.

Technical information : It is planned a plenary session as the opening of the two-day conference and a round table discussion as a closing to cover the main topics (speakers are currently invited). It is expected about 50-60 lectures in parallel sections over the two days. The section leaders will be MRTT members invited by the MRTT Bureau, who will be experts in the field. The conference will be held in Hungarian, in the Microsoft Teams system (no recording). You will get 20 minutes for a section presentation, of which 5 minutes for questions.

Participation fees (speakers): A speaker can give a maximum of one presentation (co-author can be in several presentations). The fee for holding the performance is HUF 6,000 gross. Thediscount for themembers of MRTT ( who arranged their membership fee for the current year ) is HUF 4,000 gross.

Application:  Abstracts must be uploaded on the conference application form .

Feedback on the submitted abstracts is continuous (invoice will only be sent after this).

Abstract submission deadline: March 31, 2021

Detailed program: The 2nd circular is expected to be published in the first week of April 2021.

Participation fees (audience):  The student’s application starts after the publication of the detailed program. The student participation fee is HUF 2,000 gross. The participation of MRTT members ( who arranged their membership fee for the current year ) as a student at the conference is free of charge, pre-registration is required.
