REGION, the flaghsip Journal of the European Regional Science Association, launches a call for three positions at the Editorial Board.
REGION publishes original scientific work in Regional Science, Regional Economics, Economic Geography, and related areas. It is founded to be an electronic and open-access journal, with the aim of promoting the free access to all scientific knowledge. The bodies of REGION are the Editorial Team and the Editorial Board. The management of REGION is entrusted to the Editorial Team, which assisted by an Editorial Board which aims to ensure the scientific level of the journal and periodically to provide advice and support.
The mission of the Editorial Board is to promote the dissemination of the journal and to attract national and international collaborations. Members of the editorial board will be called to review several manuscripts a year. We also hope they will consider REGION for their own scholarly work (especially review or position papers) and to propose and lead Special Issues. They may also occasionally be called to assist the Editorial Team in matters of editorial policy.
The Editorial Board members are appointed for five years and may be renewed once, up to a maximum of ten years. The Editorial Team of REGION will select among all candidates and make a proposal to the European Regional Science Association Council in its August 2017 meeting at the ERSA conference in Groningen.
