We are happy to announce that the Call for Session Proposals is OPEN!

The University Sessions are organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO)and the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) advised by the Regional Studies Association European Foundation (RSA Europe) and with the cooperation of the European Regional Science Association (ERSA) and the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP).

RSA with the cooperation of the ERSA and the AESOP will together host around 10 sessions in-person or virtual (format to be confirmed) showcasing the best of new research to the largely policy-based audience at the week.

The broad themes of this edition are: Green, Cohesion, Citizens, Digital

Submission deadline: 5pm CET, 11th March 2021

Important: Submission of a proposed session does not guarantee its acceptance and you should not book any travel or accommodation in advance of hearing from the Association if your proposal is being taken forward.

The #EURegionsWeek is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. The meeting is organised and led by the European Commission’s DGs for Regional Policy and Employment and the Committee of the Regions and brings together 6,000+ local, regional, national and European decision-makers and academic experts in regional and local development.
